June 2024 - Jan 2025.
This was built outside my working hours.
- Webflow
- Memberstack
- Stripe
I worked part-time on the Svenska Jaktklubben project over an extended period, contributing to the development and continuous improvement of the platform. My responsibilities included collaborating with stakeholders to gather, clarify, and refine requirements, as well as translating them into actionable tasks for development. I was also involved in implementing and iterating on features based on feedback, ensuring that the solution aligned with the vision. Throughout the project, I worked closely with mainly non non-technical stakeholders.
Today Svenska Jaktklubben has over 300 members. Since January 2025, I stepped away from the website, leaving it in the hands of the team to continue maintaining it.
The team behind Svenska Jaktklubben is a small, dedicated group running a hunting membership platform alongside their full-time jobs. Their mission is to connect hunters with trusted organizers and make it easier to discover and access hunting opportunities across Sweden. As the platform grew, their previous website had become outdated and restrictive, making it difficult to maintain and limiting further development.
The previous website was built on WordPress, which had become difficult to maintain and limiting in terms of design flexibility and performance. Multiple plugins had been integrated over time, creating dependencies that made development unstable—adding new functionality would often break existing features. As a result, it was decided to rebuild the site from scratch.
Since there was prior experience with Webflow, it was chosen as the new platform to enable greater control over design and a more streamlined development process. This allowed the project to be rebuilt into a modern, scalable, and more user-friendly experience that better supports the growing community. However, certain features such as payments and membership functionality still required external integrations.

Initially, I created a requirements list of necessary functions and workflow including membership flows, payments, forms, and content structure, as well as identify technical limitations in the existing setup.
I used the requirements list to give status updates to the team as well as challenges.
Membership application & approval
Users must apply for membership through a structured form, with all applications manually reviewed before approval. This ensures only eligible users (e.g. verified hunting license holders) gain access.
Payment & subscriptions
Secure handling of annual memberships was a core requirement, implemented through Stripe. Access to the platform is tied directly to active subscription status.
Content management (CMS)
A flexible CMS was needed to manage both public hunting listings and member-only content.
Multilingual support
The platform needed support for English and German.
WCAG
Accessibility was also considered during the rebuild, with the goal of aligning the site with WCAG principles. This included improving contrast, navigation structure, and overall usability.

The core functionalities was a priority which were Membership application & approval, Payment & subscriptions and Content management (CMS).
Once these foundations were implemented and stable, I moved on to enhancing the platform with multilingual support and improving accessibility in line with WCAG guidelines. In the final phase, I focused on refining the site to ensure it was not only functional but also intuitive and visually cohesive unitl I was and the team were happy enough for me to transfer the site.
